Apps Location of main.xml

I am working through the tutorial here on SQLite. It states that I have to edit the main.xml file it relies on, but I can not locate it. Since it says edit and not create I have to assume it exists somewhere and there is a unique one for every application.

Is my newbieness showing? I have no delusions of doing any actual development, I just want to duplicate some of the stuff I had in HanDBase for my Palm.

Look in res>layout>main.xml
