Location of Whatsapp media folder CHANGE?

Hi friends

In my years of using Whatsapp the default media folder location has always been in the root in a folder named "WhatsApp" within which are various folders eg "Media" holding the videos, audio, Images, etc.

Recently my RealMe system update install the latest Android v11 (it started with v10). After many days when i start to look for WhatsApp media, i cannot find the "WhatsApp" in the root directory. I then find it in the "android" folder. Within it there is a media folder and looking inside I found that all related folders are now inside com.whatsapp/WhatsApp/

Whats happening, is this a result of the android update or something else.

Try this, see if it's there, I don't have Android 11

/storage/emulated/0/Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp

Yes DonB that is what i say.. it is there THERE! but then why?

I'm not sure, but I simply believe that it's a change in directory from Android 11 I assume.

I just check another instance of android 11 update, it is now confirmed the update move the WhatsApp folder to within 'Android' folder
