Help Lock screen clock takes half a second to update the time

Hello,

It may seem strange to be getting frustrated by this but when I check the time I glance at my phone for a split second. However, now when I look at my lock screen there is a split second until it does that little animation where it flips the numbers and shows the correct time.

I've actually glanced at the time and read the time before it updated and put my phone back not realising I had read the old time.

Is there any way to change the lock screen clock or to stop it having to do these animations so that it always displays the correct time the instant I press the power button?

Thanks

that is most likely an animation setting, which would be easy to turn off if so, OR even possibly a sleep setting which would mean it is in a sort of standby mode until you turn screen on.

I've never noticed the lag you see, but I've only just got my m9 and I'm still getting used to Sense 7

You need to activate Developer Options in your Settings menu to turn off or slow down animations; Here's how

How to turn on Developer options
Go to Settings > About > Software information > More and then tap on the Build number seven times. Now if you go back to the Settings screen you’ll see the Developer options entry has been added. We would advise caution in here, but there are a few things you might want to tweak. A lot of people like to speed up the feel of the user interface navigation by turning animations off or reducing the values in Window animation scale, Transition animation scale, and Animator duration scale from 1 to 0.5.
