Help Lock screen memos not saving

I can save my lock screen notes to notes, and I can pin one to the screen, but what about the memos you can scroll through on the lock screen? Anything I write there disappears as soon as I turn my phone on. Is there a way for them to still be there when I come back to it?

I'm using Nova Launcher, but I tried it with Touch Wiz and get the same results.

That shows you the steps. I am sure you know this but just posting to make sure we are on the same page.

To test,
I just did some tests and i wrote several different notes at one time.

When I put the pen back in the screen went back to the AOD screen. I then saw the memo icon show up on the AOD screen letting me know i have saved memos.

I turned on the screen and saw the icon up top. I tapped it and went direct to my notes. I was able to scroll through all the ones i saved.

I have a stock tmobile locked variant device.

I also use nova launcher. No issues.

To add:

I just wrote several different messages, Turned off the screen. I then turned the screen back on and they were there, with an option to “SAVE IN NOTES”.

Thanks for your response. I had seen those instructions before but I finally got it with your notes. Appreciate the help.
