Help Lock Screen Messaging Notification Color Change

I was wondering if anyone knew how to change the color so that way when you get a new message on your phone, and it says new message, how you change the color of it from clear to say orange or green? My cousin did but said someone else did it for him and that he didn't know how. I liked it and the clear is boring and I'd really like to have a color instead of clear.

I take it you mean the LED colour? You can change that on a per app basis with Lite Flow: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rageconsulting.android.lightflowlite
