lock screen notification panel?

Is there a way to pull down the notification panel when screen is locked?? I am using stock touch wiz on my s3.Thanks for any help

Depending on what lockscreen you use, yes. Using the default lockscreen, I doubt it.

Thanks for the replies. Don't want to root or anything like that. When you mention using a different lock screen, are you speaking of some kind of add on from the play store. If so, do you have any suggestions on what to try?

As far as I'm aware only the swipe option allows you to bring the notification panel down on Touchwiz, suppose it makes sense in that if you lock it proper then people can't see stuff!
