Lock screen sms to show sender name only

Hi everyone. I am new to the android world as I was always using apple devices. I recently decided to make the switch and have almost figured everything put... Except.... I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get just the senders name of a txt message to show up on the lock screen. Either I get just new message icon or the entire message with content. I changed my settings under lock screen and inside the applications folder as well. I still cannot get it to work. Is this something I am able to do on an android device or am I only limited to the entire content being shown or only new message being shown? Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to give me, as it's driving me absolutely insane!

I don't have the Note 7 anymore (switched to an S7 Edge and not going back!), but I checked the stock messaging app - which should be the same on both devices, and didn't see an option to add privacy (i.e., no message text, just the sender). I know that there are plenty of apps from the Play Store that do this. Personally, I use Textra which is awesome and offers the functionality you're looking for, but there are plenty of others that likely offer the privacy feature you're looking for.
