Help locked out of my note 4

Hello, so I wasnt on my ph8ne for about an hour I pick it uo and its on a lock screen thats only lettung me do emergency calls. I never made a pin for the lock screen. Its basically just happend and was wondering if anyone knows how to bypass it ot take it off?. Thanks in advance

Contact your carrier from another phone,or,pay a visit to 'em & they'll be able to get you back in to your phone.

Thats what I was planning on doing my boyfriend works night so im waiting to call costumer service..im hoping they dont wipe my whole phone just thought maybe there was a easier way

I use a pattern unlock and I definitely have a PIN backup. Your provider will likely have to reset it to factory default, out-of-the-box state. That means you will lose ALL user data stored on the phone (take your SD card out before doing this just to be safe). Sorry you're locked out, Maggie: but if it was easy to gain access to a locked phone, there would be no point in securing it to begin with. Sounds like a painful lesson learned, but going forward I'm optimistic that this won't happen again.
