Locked out of phone

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this.

I changed my google account password on Friday as i had forgotten it.
When it came to Sunday i tried to unlock my phone (it is connected to the google account previously mentioned) and it is now saying that the password is incorrect when i have been using this exact password to unlock the phone.
Does anyone know how i can solve this other than doing a factory reset? I have tried locking it anc changing the password through find my device but because i already have a lock on it a message came up saying that it would use my old lock??

Recover your Google account with another one or Google can send you a code

Remove the account from the device on a PC.

Even if you do a format reset, you will have the same issue after your phone is faced with the Google account question..so it would be pointless to practice that, though..

At some point the Google it's supposed to ask you about one of the latest password used if you just keep plying with it..
