Hi! I'm a real novice here. :o So for most people here, this is a really stupid question. I bought my Galaxy S2 at a store in the Czech Republic, not at a mobile operator. How do I know if it'll work in the States?

Welcome to the forums, contrary. An inexpensive SIM card and a GSM device will work in the Czech Rep as well as here in the U.S. I see that T-Mobile is one of the C.R.'s carriers, which also has service in the U.S.

Talk to the tech at the SIM card purchasing point about where you want to use your new Galaxy S2. ;)
