Help locking and freezin up??

Hi all.

this is my second tab because my first one kept freezing and would not unlock. Now this second one now and again locks for no reason and then wont swipe to unlock it?? I done a reset with not joy so im guessing this is a common fault or am I just unlucky in getting another faulty one?? Any advice or help on this please because im gonna take it back fir a refund and not sure to attempt another one.

I just went through the same thing. One Note 3 soft bricked by an OTA update, the replacement locked up tight (I suspect bad storage). This is the third one, and they already have noted in the record (at my request) that it sometimes "forgets" settings, so it may also have bad storage. I have no problem bringing back a defective phone (or tab) and *politely* asking that it be replaced again.

I used to own cellphone stores, and I had no problem with customers doing it to me. The bad phone went back to the distributor, I got a replacement and everyone was happy, (Except, probably, the manufacturer.) The secret is "politely". Not "I want this lousy stinking phone replaced with a good one this time or I'm throwing a rock through your window", but "I'm really sorry to do this to you again, but this replacement is doing the same thing the tab it replaced was doing". And if they start apologising, be quick to come up with "Oh, I know it's not your fault, I'd just like to get it replaced ... again - please?" People are basically nice, and it's embarrassing when the same model device keeps failing. Save face for them and they'll do as much as they're allowed to do for you.
 
It was on 4.2.2 when took it out of the box and says I have the latest version. Funny how got two faulty tabs and losing faith in Samsung Tablets.
