Help Lollipop Upgrade

I did the new Lollipop ugrade. Three questions:

1. My phone no longer flashes lights for different incoming messages, etc. If the phone screen isn't lit up I don't know if I have a new message, text, facebook, etc. I have to turn it on to see. I would like to look and see the lights again.

2. My phone did light up automatically when a text message came through - I would like that back again

3. The colors in my texting are orange (I use the stock Messages app). I don't want orange.

Thanks

Dito on the orange. That color seems to make me violently angry whenever I see it. I'll switch back to Apple if I have to. I'll take the pansy aquamarine color from the phone app if that makes it easier, but I'd like to choose a color.

Also, my phone app is in a folder on the bottom on the screen. The icon no longer displays until I bring up the folder.

*EDIT* I have Galaxy Note 4 through AT&T

For UI advice we'll need to know what phone model - different manufacturers, even carriers, modify the software so one person's Lollipop is not the same as another's.

If you want to choose a colour try a third party message app such as Textra, Chomp or one of many others. There's never any need to stick with an inadequate stock app.

As for the phone app, have you accidentally dragged another app into that space and created a folder there? Try long-pressing on it and see if there's an option to edit, or just replace it with a new phone app icon.

The phone app icon remains invisible when moved or even transferred into a different file. Like there is a missing sprite.

Once I view the folder and the icon is normal size, then it displays.

*EDIT* Disregard. Restart corrected the issue.
