Anyone have AT&T on Long Island? I'm wondering what the data speeds are. Is it always going to be fast enough to stream audio/video? Or does it slow to a crawl during peak hours?

I'm currently on Sprint which gets about 0.05 - 0.40 mbps on Long Island. Absolutely atrocious. Can't even stream low def youtube.

It's so hard to find location based speed data for the different carriers. I really wish the Speed Test app would upload the results to a server so that potential shoppers could choose the carrier that's fastest in their area.

Doesnt answer your question. But try the rootmetrics speedtest coverage app. It does upload everyones test. So you can see the map and sort it by overall score, data speeds, coverage, ect for each carrier.

Really nice free app.
