Looking for 2 apps.....

Im looking for 2 apps from android store, for my phone. Hopefully theres something on android that does the job. The 2 apps im looking for are:

1. An app that reads and a speaks the name of the person calling.

2. Another app, that when i type in a sentance, the phone will speak out the sentance. (just a fun app for kicks)

Hopefully theres something. And hopefully their free.
Thanks.

You could probably use tasker to do the first for you. And Tasker could probably do the 2nd as well.

Or there might be a setting under accessibility settings for the first one.

Thanks Barqers,
Is TASKER the only app on Android that will do it? Reason im asking, is cause im hoping theres a free app somewhere that will do the job. I dont really need all the other stuff TASKER offers.

Also, i have sony xperia x10i, and to my knowledge, doesnt offer any built in settings for it.

Thanks again for the reply.

I know chompsms has the option to speak send and received text messages. Not sure if that is a function of chomps or if the native sms app does that as well. But it works pretty well. You can even download a voice you like from svox so that you don't have to hear the computer voice.

Oh, no tasker is not the only one. However, I set my tasker up to read it only during certain times, or when I have certain applications open. So that it doesn't read while I'm in class or something.

But the app that tcat007 should work fine for a free app :)
Just tasker is more customizable in that sense.

Say My Name (Dessert) will also read the name of the caller, read the text, etc...you can specify what you want it to do.
You can use the widget to turn it on/off

Any text to speech app will do for #2, there's plenty of different ones on the market (used to have one with different voices and languages, and you can even save the speech as an MP3...forget what app that was though XP)

Please please please try remember that app name. Sounds like exactly what i was asking, for my second query.
