Looking for a certain kind of USB tethering app

I am looking for a USB tethering app that will allow me to tether to a PC without having to install some kind of client software on the PC. Thanks in advance.

The only way to do that is to use wireless tether. You will either have to pay your carrier, or root and run Wireless Tether app.

I already have rooted and have a wireless tether app that works great. I would like a plug and play usb tether option however.

When you plug in the phone to the computer, what options are there? Some phones have a USB Tether option right there.

My Droid X doesn't. So far I have to use something like PDAnet to USB tether.
