Looking for a GMaps alternative.

I'm looking for something secure and private, the total opposite of anything google. Preferably open source. I tried OSM, too much of a task to type in an address. Yandex Maps was a no go. Any recommendations?

Maps.ME is also Open Street Maps based. Here (Nokia's map & navigation app) is also worth a look. Both allow you to download maps and work offline.

You can use CoPilot in airplane mode, so you know nothing is being phoned home.
