Looking for a good app for podcasts

Hey everyone,

New guy here and actually new to a lot of things that smart phones offer. For example, listening to podcasts. Currently I'm trying Pocket Casts. It's nice. I like the way it looks. But I'm trying to figure out how to get it to automatically start streaming the next episode of a podcast. If Pocket Casts won't do it, is there a good app out there that can

Thanks!

I'm using DoggCatcher and it has a lot of customization possibilities, including various options for the playback order. The developer seems to be very responsive also, and overall it seems like a pretty good app. It cost $5 though.

That being said, while I like Doggcatcher, I'm actually looking for a podcast client that is a little more manual. Doggcatcher is setup to auto download and auto delete episodes, and there is a lot of settings in that you can do on a per feed basis that probably covers most use cases, but it isn't configured as well if you just want to manually download or delete individual episodes. I'd love to find a podcaster that made it as easy to find and subscribe to podcasts as Doggcatcher makes it, but with more manual controls otherwise.

I don't have the program you mention. I'm sure it has playlists for downloaded episodes. You mentioned streaming... not sure what you meant there... most podcast managers work with downloaded files rather than streaming.

btw fwiw I use beyondpod.

Thanks for the info guys! Keep it coming please.

When you select an episode to listen to, Pocket Casts gives you the option to download or stream. I'm assuming it's like streaming something with your computer. It'll play as it downloads and the file itself is stored in a temp directory and it eventually deleted or overwritten by something else you stream some time later.
