Looking for a note taking app

I want to take notes on my tablet or smart phone, save them on the SD card with a file name of my choosing, move the file to a computer via USB, read and/or modify the file with notepad (windows) or Vi (Linux) move it back to Android device read it and/or modify it. Thanks in advance for any help. (Free is nice but not required)

Polaris dose it, well, almost. Can;t write from Windoz to android but I'm sure that is a permission problem - I'll work on it.
Not unexpectidly, Android - being a subset of Linux - handles CR/LF differently , not a big deal,

Thanks all, I'm going with Polaris but only on my tablet - nothing of any importance on it. Did not like giving Polaris access to all my file, Contacts, Etc.
