Looking for a older phone, thought I'd ask here.

Please note I'm not looking for any kind of Android/data plan phone, but I am trying to find a all touchscreen decent phone for my mom. Nothing that uses a data plan, but no sliding keyboard or anything, all one piece. LG Dare and LG Chocolate have been suggested, any Verizon vets wanna toss in any other suggestions? Again, decent phone, all touchscreen, NO data plan. Thanks.

I guess what you're looking for, then, is a FEATURE or multimedia phone. Ebay would be your best friend here, followed by Craigslist. I could recommend swappa.com for gently used Android phones, but that's not what you're after. Good luck with the search :)

I owned a LG Dare for a couple of years. Good basic touch screen phone. No Data. A few friends had the LG enV Touch. It was a clam shell with a keyboard for texting.

Yeah, I've been told LG Dare, LG Chocolate, Pantech Hotshot is only moderately regarded but for what my mom needs thats fine. It just seems like its either crappy basic phones or data plan requiring smartphones at this point.

I had the LG Versa when it came out. It's almost the same as the Dare. I actually gave it to my husband because he wanted a smartphone type phone but not having to pay for a data plan. He also wanted a keyboard to text and the Versa has a keyboard attachment that goes with it. It really is a cool phone.

If you didnt need a data plan for it, I swear I'd just find my mom one of the older Iphones. If my sister can figure out how to use one, so can my mom, but she just doesnt want to pay another 30 bucks a month on our bill.
