Looking for a Profile app

I just switched to Android from a Blackberry. I know this is a common question, as I have done a lot of searching but have been unable to find a solution.

I would like a profile app that allows me to set a profile but allow adjustments based on contact. For example, I like to have my ringer off when I am sleeping but two days of the week I am on call and need these numbers to ring although my ringer is off.

On my blackberry, I was able to use the silent profile, while keeping the contacts I needed to ring set to "high".

Do any of the profile apps on Android allow for this customization?

Have a look at Tasker.

You could set the default ringtone to silent, while having your contacts customized to a ringtone.
That isn't exactly what you want, but it may be better than paying for an app.
