Hi! I had a question, and was wondering if someone more tech savvy than me could figure it out!
I use an app called Kids Place. With Kids Place, you can approve certain apps (e.g. a game, the calculator app, the camera app, whatever), and when you open Kids Place on your phone, your kid can access those apps you approved, but ONLY those apps-- nothing else on the phone! It works great, and I love it. A+ app! No problems with it. (here's a link, it might explain the app better than I can: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kiddoware.kidsplace )
But, I was wondering... I want my daughter to be able to listen to music on my phone, but not all 3000+ of my songs, many of which are either not appropriate or just not enjoyable for kids. I have made her a playlist in Music, but it's easy for her to exit it, on purpose or on accident, so if I approve the entire Music app to show up in Kids Place, she can easily get to any other music on my phone, not just the songs I have pre-selected for her.
I can also just put the music in the background and then open Kids Place, and it plays just fine... but since she can't exit the Kids Place app, she can't change the song or the volume or whatever, if she wants to. Ideally, I'd like for her to have control of the music, not just let it play in the background, like it does now.
I wish I could just make a folder full of the music I want to put in it, and then add that to Kids Place, but Kids Place only allows APPS to be added, and, I don't know how to make a folder like that anyway! Lol.
I tried an app called playbox, but you could only put 25 songs on the kids playlist there, and it didn't pick up most of my music library anyway.
Is there any apps that will help me out here? Let my daughter play music from a pre-approved playlist, but no other songs? Or is there some other way I could achieve this?? Any thoughts?
