looking for a way to make unlisted calls

STING3ER

Lurker
with the iphone i could simply go to the settings and under phone to select these option
on any android device that i use i can't see this anywhere?

wondering if there is another way to call people without them knowing my number?

IIRC on Verizon, we used to be able to dial *69 + phone number to blank out the caller ID
I have not done that in years..... had to do it on each call, worked from a landline also.

just don't use *72 + phone number,
that will forward all of your calls to that number :D

I have a hard time imagining any legitimate reason for someone to block their caller ID. Maybe I'm missing something....
actually i sometimes need to call people who are just nagging and all kind of idiots at work and i don't want them to know my number because i don't want them to call me whenever they want to, in my experience people like that used to call me in the weekends and sometimes after midnight....

and for those who told me to use the dialer settings, i don't have such settings in my Xiaomi Redmi note 3.

Do you have a menu in the dialer at all? The most I could find was a screen shot of what I think is the default.

What does the grid icon on the lower left do?

it makes the dial pad collapse down, and i could not find any settings in the phone app.

on Samsungs, the Task Button if held down with a Long Press will bring up menus providing the developer included that feature.

on the S5 and Note 4, it has a Double Outline around it

I do think there has to be some way to access that menu as I really doubt they can complete remove it. It's just for this model phone, I don't know what the magical key sequence is.
