Looking for advice. Google search on an Android tablet

Hello all,

I'm a new member here in the hope of finding an answer to this issue I'm having with Google search on a new tablet.

The tablet is a 7" NEW Dual Core M009S 4GB Epad Apad Android 4.2 Tablet running Jellybean. The issue I'm having is that Google search won't speak back to me after I've done a voice search. All that happens is the results from my voice search are shown as a normal Google search.

I've watched a few videos on Youtube and read a few other forums on how to fix this, but nothing works! I've changed the language from UK to USA etc and set the the search to Google.com and not co.uk. This also isn't helping.

I've also checked the media volume (by playing music using the stock player) and that appears fine.

I find this really odd because my older Samsung mobile phone has no issues with the voice option on Google search!

I've also cleared the cache and uninstalled the updates. This also isn't helping and I've tried searching for basic things like asking what today's weather is like etc. This works fine on my Samsung mobile.

Would anyone be able to offer me some advice please?

Many thanks
