Looking for an app to access pc with android

so I can remotely start up bit-torrent and download a torrent on my pc while at school for example

TeamViewer is what I use to manage my PC remotely. It's pretty good.

But I'd really suggest you not mention using torrents. I'm fairly certain even mentioning them is against the rules.

Splashtop works on wifi or data for $5.

Install Splashtop Streamer on your dekstop, make sure Splashtop ports are forwarded for your computer IP. Install Splashtop Remote for Android. Find out your modem's IP address. Have fun trying to control your computer with a tiny screen with low resolution.

For remote control I've found Real VNC is the best. Not free, but full control, pinch zoom in/out, etc. Lets you get actual work done on a remote computer. Cross-platform too.

I use Team Viewer to remotely control my PC.
If you use the uTorrent client, then you might want to check out their Android Remote:
