Looking for an APP to take "Screen Shots" of my games?

Sour

Lurker
I heard there was an application available for the BlackBerry - but haven't found one for my myTouch.

I'm basically trying to take in-game screen shots of my game - like a great shot, or a high score.

Any apps that do this?

Welcome to the forum! :D

You need some sort of root access to your phone in order to take screen shots. So yes, debugging from the pc would do it.

You could also root your phone (it's neither difficult nor dangerous, look around a bit) and use either ShootMe or PicMe (I can never remember which one) to take screen shots by simply shaking the phone. You can then use a file manager to move your shots off the phone.

As Klaymen says, if your phone is rooted, you can download something like ShootMe. Once you open it up, you can hide it and leave it running in the background, and simply activate it by shaking the phone when you're on the screen of which you want a screenshot.

Because of the Android security model. Basically, no app can see any other app unless they both do some special voodoo (yes, that's a technical term :p). Rooting your phone allows apps to circumvent this security model.
