Looking for an Ebook Reader app that lets me read landscape

Hey All,

I have the Asus eee Transformer....

I have been using this to read every night. Although I have found it difficult after a few hours holding it portrait orientation and want to hold it landscape but the problem is with the default e-reader that comes on it is irritating, when you change it to landscape it changes to it being to pages which annoying and slightly distracting. Is there any other apps out there that allow the orientation to be changed and allow 1 page to be spread across the whole screen... I know Kindle allows this but they only accept their books and not basic epub's (which I want).

  1. I would like to it have a bookmark feature so I can easily go back to where I finished
  2. I would prefer it to be free but if the application does what I want and its a reasonable price. I would consider purchasing it.

Thanks,
Rayna

Hi, I wholeheartedly recommend "moon+reader pro", an app I've been using for some time now. It supports the majority of formats (though not .pdf at present), it can display single or double pages in landscape view, dropbox sync, tts, etc. and has plenty of additional settings so you can tweak it to your preference. Do note that I am referring to the "pro" (ie. Paid for) version and am uncertain if the free version lacks any of these features.

It's easier to find and link to books on the EXTERNAL SD card in FB reader. Aldiko and Moon seem to want to put them on a shelf. I want my books on the EXTERNAL SD card.
FB remembers the page I was on when I shut down tablet. It also has an app for a PC.

Just to point out, moon reader can load books from external sd card also and remembers the last page you were on. I am intrigued enough now to give fb reader a try though.

I'd have to look, but I think FB links to the external card. Doesn't import the books. I haven't seen any books on the internal card. FB doesn't use a shelf. It has a library, but you are given the choice of directory. I'll TF books to tab through Dropbox, then cut and paste onto the external SD.
