Help Looking for android 4.4 kitkat download

Android is incredibly device specific... A firmware build for one device won't work on another device even if it's similar hardware. What device do you have?

What about one for a Samsung galaxy nexus?
Android version: 4.2.1
Baseband version: I9250UGLL1
Kernal version: 3.0.31-gd5a18e0 android-build@vpba1.mtv.corp.google.com#1
Fri Nov 2 11:02:59 PDT 2012

Build number: JOP40D.I9250UGMA2

I desperatily need to upgrade to kitkat 4.4 as there are apps I need for work that need a minimum of kitkat 4.4 to run...

You will need to root and install a custom ROM. Theres a long messy thread on xda.

I've been looking for the 4.3 JellyBean download all day. Does anyone have it or know
where I can get it?
Thriveforums.org is the only legit place that had ROMs for the Thrive. I am a member there but rarely visit because there was nothing else to flash. It's an old tablet

I'm about to give up. Mine works fine but just started trying to use it for different apps and its older android version won't run many apps. I found guides to flash it with 4.3 or 4.4 but can't find those downloads

Like I said, the tablet (and the forum) is old. Sorry, the tablet came out in 2011 and the JB ROM was in 2012.

If you see any type of 4.3 ROM on a different website, don't flash it.

Read directions and read through the forum. This has been a pretty stable ROM for 3-4 years. I've had it on my tablet since Pio put it out. Solid ROM but you need to read because there are some bugs/fixes like audio. I recommend you join the forum as I think there is still a moderator there who can help if you get stuck. Not sure because I don't go there anymore. I still have my tablet but really don't need help anymore because it is so stable. Good luck. Anything you do on your tablet is not my responsibility. Any modifications are at your own risk.

I was able to root my thrive, installed the clockwork mod and installed the 4.1.2. I don't guess I understood, I thought it was the 4.3. So the 4.1.2 is the best there is for the thrive. I can't get it to connect to the playstore.

You are lucky and you should be thankful he could get 4.1.2 to work as good as it does. The Thrive had limitations. That dev busted his butt to get JellyBean 4.1.2

did you flash Gapps? You will need to do some reading and research to find the correct one. I am not sure the link in Baked Black bean thread is still active

I found the Gapp file for the 4.1. Do I just copy and paste it to the SD card and boot the Thrive with the card in and chose install from zip?
