hi
i'm looking for an app that can turn on my photone for example at 7:00am

and can turn off my mobile at 23:30pm

can a program do it?

samsung s3 neo , not rooted

thanks

Turning it off isn't a problem, but turning it on again would be.

If you're looking to save battery/stop calls/notifications etc, you could use something like Tasker to switch on airplane mode at 23:30, then have it turn airplane mode off at the time you wanted.

turning on ,it's a problem because my mobile is not roooted ?
i guess there is some activity when a mobile is off ... just leave off for some days and you will notice battery consuming

Nah, nothing to do with not being rooted. If the device is off, it's off and nothing is running.

Batteries lose charge (albeit at a much slower rate), even when not in use so that's why you might notice your battery has depleted a little even when it's off. :)

Turning on is a problem because Android is not running, and hence no Android app is running, and so no app can turn the phone on. Root has nothing to do with this.

A rechargeable battery will self-discharge (the internal resistance of a battery is large, but not infinite), plus it is still physically connected to the phone circuits (so some charge leakage is possible). So it will discharge slowly (though should last many months). Remember also that you'll use some power turning it on again, so if it seems just a little lower after a couple of days off that's normal, and does not mean that it is running the cpu still.

Yep, just switch it to airplane mode overnight. It's still on but uses just 1 or 2% of the battery (as long as you've nothing else running in the background of course).

good! thanks
is there a cool small light app to do it?

You could do it un-root-ed with Tasker if your system is not 4.2 or later. You could do it root-ed with Tasker using an add-in even for 4.2 and later.

Some phones have timed power on/off, like Oppo. Thing is though, it's not truly off, it's a low-power standby mode and it won't receive calls or connect, it just appears to be off. Rather like turning on/off a TV by the remote rather than on the set itself.

i don't know Oppo
sadly samsung haven't such feature maybe with android v6

I think you should take phone in Airplane mode or Do not Disturb in that time you want. Don't need to shutdown your phone, because it's not good for phone's access and hardware.
It doesn't hurt a device to power it off if you do not wish to have it on.

It doesn't hurt to power it back on either. I know folks who turn their phone off at 8pm and leave it off til 7am, and have done so for a couple of years.

All my previous and current phones and tablets have that feature that made me assume that its available for all devices. Try checking your settings again.
