I'll be moving to Conway, AR and I'd like a service which is non-contract and supports 4G LTE coverage in the area. I only wish to use Android, no iPhones or anything else. The montly price I'm looking for is $50 or less including fees/taxes (estimate if you want..). My current Straight Talk bill in AR would be $50.06 for the $45/month payments.
I'd also like a decent phone around the quality of an S2 or higher but not for those outrageous prices I see on websites, if there are any recommendations for getting a somewhat decent phone for a good price please let me know. I currently use an LGL55C and want an upgrade.
I'd want unlimited text/talk/data or a reasonable amount atleast.. In order of priority I'd rate them this way:
1. Text
2. Talk
3. Data
Only because I mostly do things which require that on wifi, but if 4G LTE is so fast I may not always use wifi.. there's the catch. I use it now because 3G is so slow.
I just did some monitoring on my phone using Wifi and the built in youtube app. The search for an artist and playing a video out in full used up exactly 6MB. The video was 3:04 in length. I performed the same test using the 3G service from Straight Talk (Sprint towers) and of course the video kept freezing up so it took forever... The data usage with this method was only 4.77MB, so there must be some kind of compression for network downloaded media or possibly something based on download speed. I think even with a 100MB plan I would be able to keep my bandwidth usage on the network low by utilizing Wifi.
