Please delete this thread. I found a way to use the stock (however buggy at times) to download my standard Yahoo! Mail as POP3
as I've learned that the technology I'm after is POP3, where it routinely downloads the entire email to your device without having to fetch the rest.
Hello. First post. New to the Android community. Great stuff!
I'm looking for an email app that downloads entire emails to my phone (instead of showing me just the first line. I'm not sure what the term is...push, polling, imap, pop3 -- so many terminology).
I came from WinMo 6.5. When I launch the email app, it shows all of my Yahoo! emails. When I tap an item, it displays the entire email without having to fetch the rest. MailDroid, for example, only shows the header. When I touch an email item, it fetches the rest of the message thru the internet. This can be slow or inconvenient at times when I'm in an area with limited or no cell coverage. I don't like Yahoo! Mail for Android because it's so buggy, and slow.
Thanks.
