Looking for IEMs with universal volume control + headset button

Hello everyone!

I'm looking for IEMs to use with my Moto G3.

- Universal volume control. Must control the volume going through the headphones, not the phone's volume.
- Headset button.
- Worn cord-down style. I can't wear over-the-ear cords due to my glasses.
- Balanced sound signature. No enhanced bass.
- $50 max budget.

There are quite a few off-brand IEMs on Amazon that meet these requirements, but I'm quite hesitant to try any of them without hearing a legit opinion on their sound. I'm no audiophile, but I want to be sure the sound will be clear and balanced.

I welcome any advice or recommendations for my IEM purchase. Thank you!

IEM with in-line remote/mic designed for use with Android phones will change volume remotely on your phone, not attenuate the volume of the actual earpieces. The only other alternative with a true attenuation built into the cable if you have full size headphones with removable 3.5mm cable, and get MEEaudio cable replacement like this: http://www.meeaudio.com/meelectroni...icrophone-and-universal-volume-control-black/ where it has a physical volume slider.

Hello Twister,

I do need to attenuate the headphones' volume, as my phone makes a hissing noise while playing audio. This seems to be a common issue with the Moto G3.

My current pair of IEMs have a volume slider, and if I turn them down a bit, I can't hear the hissing. But they don't have a headset button, which is really all I want to add to my setup.

Actually, I did purchase the Xiaomi Piston 3 in hopes that the higher impedance would eliminate it, but they had no effect. Maybe I got a counterfeit pair?

As for the cables, that's a good idea, but I'm really looking for IEMs for portable use.

It seems my only choice is to go with something from MEE, either the M6P or M7P. I could probably deal with the cord after getting used to it. I just can't decide which would be better.

M6P is cheaper and commended for having good sound for the price, but it's noted that the stiff memory wire that can be hard to fit. M7P is said to have a better wire and fit, but it's relatively new and doesn't have any input from audiophiles. MEE said that its tuning is based on the M6, though.

What do you guys think?
