Help looking for loud SMS arrival noise

Pixel XL, android 7.1.1

I need a loud notification sound for SMS msg arrivals.

Tons of stuff in app store, but the 5 or 6 I installed wanted access to my files, storage, photos, and/or contacts, etc.

violate my privacy to make a sound? G M A F B

Anybody have a link to a notification sound library or app that doesn't want to OWN my phone?

Why do you need an app? Pick your own favourite sound file, stick it in the Notifications folder on your phone, and use that.

The need to access to storage is required for the app to work. Otherwise, they can't save the ringtones you dowload. Denying them access is like refusing to open the door to get the pizza you had delivered.

Hi,
I do not know if you noticed, but each or 99% of the applications required to know everything about you on google play. For sounds, I use applications on the computer with which I make the ringtone or notification tone. On the phone I use Zedge app. Yes, she wants to know everything about you. Make melody to the computer and put it on the phone, so no one will know anything about you. Cheers !!

You don't need an app for this. Just pick a sound that is specifically within the most sensivitive frequency range for the human ear, a classic clip-on pager is a good example, then put that file into the media folder on your phone, go into the settings and select that as your SMS notification sound, and you are all set.

You can use an app called Audacity to edit or modify sounds to make them louder, and to convert files to the format your phone uses for system sounds. You can do the same on any computer, or tablet, to create your own event sounds as well.
