Looking for SMS app with very customizable notifications

Hi,

I use Lotus Traveler to access my work email/calendar on my Galaxy S3. In order to not drain battery by being "always connected" to the Traveler server, there is an option to have Traveler notify your phone via SMS whenever a new email comes in. Traveler would intercept the SMS and delete it, and I would receive no notification that the SMS had come in... except Traveler would use it as a trigger to replicate with the server and pull down the new mail.

That has been working great, until my phone was updated to KitKat. Now Traveler is unable to delete the SMSs or suppress the notification... so every time I get a new email, I also get an SMS that's just a bunch of gibberish starting with "x-ibm-push".

According to this (IBM Messaging inbox contains x-ibm-push messages in Notes Traveler client for Android - United States), that's because "starting with Android 4.4 KitKat, the Android operating system will no longer allow applications to filter or silently remove SMS text messages from the messaging inbox. "

Are there any SMS applications out there that I can customize to allow all regular SMS's through normally, but based on either the sender or a particular string of text (x-ibm-push), it will not notify me of the new SMS?

Thanks

Textra allows you to selectively disable notifications for particular senders.

That may mean that Chomp can too, as it's by the same people.
