Hello all!

I was wondering if there is a way to customize my home screen applications to show as text rather than icons?

I believe that I have seen such fonts posted in some of the screen shot picks up loaded buy you guys and I was hoping for some how to tips.

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide!

There are a couple of options to do this.

If you are using a third party launcher (such as go launcher, adw launcher or launcher pro) then most will allow for an easy change of the icons by long pressing on the icon you want to change. There are icon packs that have text. Or there is Simple Text which allows you to make your own icon using text.

If you aren't using a third party launcher
Then you could use Desktop Visualizer to set those icons (or any other you might want to use).

Personally I use DroidIcon for when I want text. But there are a lot of icon packs.

Thanks for your advice! As for a third party applications, which one is "best " for what I am looking for?

The launchers are all pretty good. I'd say try ADW first. To me it seems the most user friendly. Its in the market. And there's themes galore to go with it.
