Looking for wifi password cracker to test security

Hi;
I am looking for an Android app that will allow me to check the security of my home Wifi network.
Currently, the pw for the Wifi is the default set by the router - which I do not like. But I would really like to find how easy or difficult it would be for someone else to crack my wifi password.

I have read about, and even downloaded one app for my Android phone, but after doing a Google search I decided not to install the .apk.
Is there anything that is not going to put my Android phone at risk when I install it?

While your intentions may be on the up and up, we cannot suggest any type of wifi password cracker....against the rules here. Sorry, but there may be other ways to test your wifi security, I don't know.

So, I'll leave this thread open so long as we don't start discussions about nefarious apps or actions

But most definitely consider -

Never trust an app or a website to test your password for anything - either before the fact to help you choose or after the fact trying to crack it.

You have no guarantee that it won't be saved and used against you.

There are no exceptions.

I guess I didn't give this enough thought before posting. I will change the pw from the default. The router uses WPA+WPA2. Until a couple days ago, I had another router that was using only WEP, so I disabled the radio on that one. I've been reading that there is an even more secure encryption called "AC". But with my router being supplied by the ISP, I doubt replacement/upgrade will come anytime soon.

I did install an Android app called "WiFi Security Checker", which does not attempt to crack the pw, just tests the network for vulnerabilities. It reported that I had WPS enabled, so I disabled it, but the app keeps reporting that it is enabled. There is no reboot option on the router's website, but perhaps I need to physically hit the reset button?

Edit: I changed the router's security to WPA2 only (not WPA+WPA2), and changed the passphrase.
I checked the setup for my older router, and was surprised to find that it was capable of using WPA2 with AES encryption, so that is what I am using on that router as well.
Now, the Wifi Security Checker I installed on my phone is reporting that my network is secure.
