My current Phone is the SE Satio and I think its a fantastic phone, The only problem I have with it is the Apps, there is no dedicated App Store and there arent many apps for it, So I want a phone with many apps at my disposal...... and I need help decideing...... what do you think is the best Android phone out there?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....or is it "beerholder"? Whatever, as Bigdroid said, you've got to be the one who makes the decision on what's "best". Do your homework. Go to the store and check 'em out. Read users' experiences with them on the forums.
I've owned the Droid for a week now. I really like the phone, and I have no regrets. But the facts are that Android 2.0 is in it's infancy; there will be many refinements before it's mature. There are bugs now, many of which will be addressed in the up-coming mid-December OTA update. There will always be "features" people want that will never happen with Android, but that will be by design. As with any OS, the developers can't please all the people, all the time. So it is what it is (and what it will be).
The biggest drawback of the Droid, for me, is that I come from Windows Mobile where I could sync my Outlook stuff directly to my phone. The Droid can't do that and in theory we're supposed to upload all our stuff to the Google empire and sync the phone that way. I'm totally unwilling to turn all my sensitive and confidential personal information over to a third party, and just hope it will never be compromised. Hacking is an everyday occurrence, and we all know our email addresses get misused regularly, so the Google thing just ain't happening for me. Maybe a suitable alternative will appear on the horizon in the future. Maybe not. Time will tell. But I do like the phone very much, and it looks like a keeper at this point.
Apps? Use caution. I have several of the top-rated apps on my phone now, and they seem issue-free. But here are numerous reports on the forums about people loading their phones down with apps that turned out to be so buggy that factory reset was the only option to get the phone working again. Some of the available apps are legitimate, but there's no QC in place to ensure one won't turn your life upside down.
Good luck in your search.
