Looking to Take over Verizon Plan w/ Unlimited Data

greenland

Lurker
Looking for someone that is looking to get out of their verizon plan with unlimited data. Please PM, I will like to take it over. Thanks

you cant do that. When you do an assumption of liability (what is needed to take over an account and put it in your name) it will wipe the unlimited data from it, fyi.

Right now, vzw just started a promo that doubles your data allowance if you have a 4g phone, so you get 4 gb's for $30 instead of 2.

Kool kat2,

Be careful if you're going to just let someone "take over" your contract. If that person doesn't pay the bill, you're still liable, because technically the account is still in your name.

If you transfer your account to someone, that's the assumption of liability one of the previous posters was talking about, then the account is no longer in your name, but that action removes (wipes) the unlimited data plan.

Idea:

If you're on an individual plan with unlimited data, can you upgrade to a family plan and retain the unlimited data on the primary line? Will the unlimited data rates apply for added lines after that?

You could pay someone $40 + tax per month ($9.99 line + $30 data).
Not that I'd ever get into an agreement like that. I don't even think I'd do that with my adult daughter. LOL

Looks like it can and has been done.

no. when you add a line, its a "new line". doesn't matter that its on an older family plan. Only exception would be adding a line into an old alltel plan (the family smartpack 500 plan specifically) that is $40 for add a line, but includes unlimited data. Otherwise, all other plans are seen as new phone lines, and the new rules apply.

Basically, if you are adding and new line, or a new acct, there is NO way to get unlimited data.

Thread cleaned... let's keep it friendly guys.
