Lookout for Androids - Good or Bad?

Lookout for Androids - Good or Bad? I've been using it on my Droid X2, but last nite the VZW salesman said it's unnecessary and not recommended on my phone or the Razr my ladyfriend is looking to buy. He said his store was told by Google Droid experts that it causes app problems, etc.

Can you tell me what problems it creates?
For perhaps a year or more I've had it on my Droid X2, which has Touchdown, and numerous other daily used programs. I can't say I notice any problems, but then maybe some of the smaller ones I've learned to live with are caused by Lookout.

It doesn't create any problems. It's just largely unnecessary as a malware detector. Read the thread from alostpacket about being safe while downloading apps and you'll see why.

Unless you like the other features that Lookout gives, which some people do.
