Help Loose USB/Charging Port?

Hey,

I just picked up a RAZR HD from my local VZW store, the phone is great but when I went to charge it this evening I noticed that the phone said "not charging" even though the cable was plugged in.

After playing around with the cable a little I realized that the port seems a little loose and that if you move the cable around you can make it so the contacts don't line up and thus the phone doesn't charge (even though the connectors feels snug.)

Does anyone else have this problem? Just wondering if I should go exchange the phone for a different one or if it's a common thing?

For what it's worth I tried a few other chargers, they all have the same problem (some are worse than others).

It appears that the problem is the charger, not the phone. If you hold the USB cables up side by side (or one on top the other) you'll see that the official cable that came in the box is probably about 1mm longer than a lot of other Android chargers out there.

The official charger fits fine, but the other ones are a little finicky. Strange that Motorola feels "above the law" and decided to not conform to the standard exactly (or with what they were using for older droids...). The phone itself might play a factor here, the port sits just beneath the bezel by about 1mm or so, so that's probably why the official cable is a bit off.

Anyway - the one out of the box works fine, so I don't think there's a way for me to convince VZW to trade it in even if I wanted to...
