my optimus keeps losing the data connection and wont reconnect to the network. they have swapped my phone out 3 times and changed my phone number. any suggestions.

That's kinda strange, wouldn't you say. If you have gotten three replacements and still having the same issue, then it might be the intermittent network connection your getting. This just might be a problem resulting from the poor signal that you're getting.
Does this happen no matter where you are? If so, I'm afraid that there might not be much of a solution other than finding a way of getting a stronger network connection.
I hope someone on here might have a solution to offer. Best of luck.
