Have a Samsung galaxy and lost the navigation app how do retrieve a lost app

Hi, welcome to Android Forums.
If you are referring to the blue icon that was associated with google navigation, it was lost by a lot of users when google updated maps to version 7.
You will still have google navigation available to you, accessed from within the maps app.
Open the app and tap the icon that resembles a road junction with an arrow pointing right, select your mode of transport then choose your destination and the route will display with a blue 'Start' icon bottom right (same as original navigation icon).
