Lost Code

When I attempt to pair with my car it wants a 4 digit code. My old phone was paired and now I want to pair my new phone. I am unable to locate the code in any of my vehicle documents and was wondering if there is a way to circumvent the code? I have contacted a dealership but have not received any response. The vehicle in question is a 2012 BMW 135i.

I will have to try again. It asked me for the code but I only tried a few times. I will give it another couple of tries.
I did see where the code was behind the covering by the rear wheel. I hate taking those pieces apart as they never really go back into place as nice as they were.

That pairing code is generated randomly each time you pair a device, it will always be different each time. Are you not getting a pair code each time you try? There's no need or worry about fetching the old code.....

That's what I thought. The 'code' is not like the access code for the radio system, this one is generated per device - when a new device is detected, the receiver will generate a code, which must be typed into the connecting device, for a successful connection to be made.
Once paired, then the device no longer prompts for the code, and connection is done automatically. Well that's what happened in my car anyway.

I will work on this and report back if I get it paired. Thanks for the responses.

Start fresh and try pairing from scratch.
Go into your phone settings, Bluetooth, and do a scan for devices once inside the car. Also scan for Bluetooth devices on the car radio at the same time. Now you should get a pair code on each device, and say yes on each or input the code that's generated. Done.

Thanks to all for your extremely helpful comments. I finally was able to pair the phone. It was a matter of getting the correct sequence of actions and the number (1234) to get it paired. I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a healthy New Year.

The pairing sequence also brought up the GPS device I have connected. I do not know what that would do with the phone but just thought I would mention it.

Cars can't hear silly!

LMAO, clear the memory one of two ways:
1. Pull radio fuse (easiest)for 20mins, replace and reinsert, try pairing again.
2. By removing the positive cable from battery for about 20mins, then reconnect battery and try again.

Edit: just seen you got it working, good to hear
