Lost contact

Got an SMS this morning and it showed the number but no name. Then I realised it was from someone I know. I wondered why it did not show me their name. Then I discovered that they had been removed from my contacts. Weird phone!

Not knowing just which email service you use and if you have it synced to your Oppo, this is might not even apply but if you use Gmail, using a browser you can go to https://contacts.google.com, log into your account, and in the left side panel select 'More'. In the resulting drop-down menu select 'Undo changes', and a window will pop up with options to restore your Contacts within specified time periods. If that contact entry was deleted a long time ago and you just recently noticed it's gone then this might not work but if it happened just a few days ago you should be able to restore it.
If however you're using a different email service, and your Contacts app is synced to it, try logging into the webmail interface of that email service and see if there's a similar 'restore' option for recently deleted contacts.

Thanks for that. I didn't know that. But it was not related to my problem. I added my friend back into my phone contacts anyway.
