lost contacts

Does anyone know how to retrieve lost contacts on samsung galaxy s2....my contacts and text messages spontaneously disappeared.

Hello and welcome aboard. I don't know how to retrieve messages...but there are two ways of getting back your lost contacts. (1). Tap on people/contacts... then menu and import/export...then tap import from SD card. (2) Open up your gmail account and click on contacts. From there just follow steps on how to retrieve them.
