Help Lost contacts

I just bought a LG MS395, so far I like it, but just before I gave up on the old phone, also android, trying to get the touchscreen to work, I initiated a hard reset, that wiped all my contacts. Does anyone know if I can recover them through google?

If you log into Gmail using a browser, are your contacts there? If you saved contacts to your Google account and had sync enabled, you will find them in Gmail online. And your contacts should download to the new.phone when you log into your Google account on the phone.

If you had contacts saved only locally in the old phone's memory, they're gone.
