Help lost data connection

Does anyone else notice that data connection on 4G and 3G seems to drop alot? Or is it just my phone? I seem to recall seeing something regarding data connection, but the site search isn't working for me. It seems like my LTE and/or 3G data connection drops somewhat frequently throughout the day and sometimes I have to reboot the phone to get it back. it's mildly annoying, but only mildly. Other than that, I love my Razr!
 
I have the problem too and seems to have gotten worse since the last update. 4G to 3G transition can sometimes mean several minutes with no data. I also get sudden white bars with no connectivity icon.

Hoping the SG3 is better, but that is in no stretch a guarantee.
 
It has been happening to me a lot lately too. Don't have any idea why, but for me, it has become more than "mildly annoying"!!!
Just begun to happen very recently, have had my RazR since March.
 
The data drop in the past month or so has not been enjoyable; the transition from 4g to 3g is not quite as bad as rush describe it (my guess would be 15 to 60 seconds) but it is quite annoying. I suspect this stuff is a verizon issue and how they authenticate their network and not a moto issue (i.e, sg3 will be just as bad) but without proprietary information there is no way for us to know for sure and verizon is not a very consumer friendly company.
 
I had that constantly. the only fix is ics leak. never once a loss in data in the ics build.
so if your waiting for ics to release, its gonna be a bumpy ride untill than. I believe its a bug in the radio image in the latest gingerbread build.
the only fix i found was to set the radio to only be 3g.
 
It's happening across platforms. At first I thought it was VZW but I think it's Google . Started a couple weeks ago and was good over the weekend now it's doing it again this afternoon. I have a Bionic that the 4G goes from Blue to white.
 
3g also goes white with no signal icon. That said, leaving it set to 3G gets rid of the 4G hand-off problems. 3G advantages are the battery lasts a LOT longer and less heat too.

Sadly, 3G for the win!
 
Well I am glad that I am not the only one.....mine has been doing this (MAXX) for about 3 weeks now....the weird thing is that my wifes razr (not MAXX) will be connected and blue while mine is not connected and white.
 
I had the 4g/3g ping pong effect going on, but it turned out to be a hardware issue with my phone.

After almost a month of calling in on data issues and ruling everything else out a technician determined it was my phone's antennas.

After getting my warranty replacement the issue went away and my data is much more stable...
 
I wonder if it's an App issue, as weird as that sounds. Mine was going in and out of data connection, both 3g and 4g. It was doing this for the past several days. Well today I decided to delete some apps, launcher pro, foxfi, and fitnesspal. It hasn't done it since I removed these apps. Don't know which one is the culprit, or if it's just coincidence. All I know is that it's not doing it anymore.
 
I just got my razor maxi and in two days I have had 2 phones all because of this data loss issue. I am considering taking it back and going back to my droid charge. this has been so frustrating. It doesn't go from 4 g to 3 g, it goes fro 4 g to NOTHING ..no service. Ugh I must say I am more than mildly annoyed. Do we have proof that the ICS update will fix this or is this just an assumption. I need to find out something while I am in my 14 day period so I can take this phone back if it doesn't get better.
