Help lost document

Some weeks ago I lost a .txt file from my Android! I am using a simple text creator called "Writer". I have already done some Data Recoveries from windows but I can't find this file! (I had Root my phone because the data recovery didn't start)

If the file was on a removable card it's easy (and you don't need to spend money on some "special" "android" file recovery - a cheap card reader and Recuva will do it just perfectly).

If it was in internal storage and your device uses MTP rather than USB mass storage then I doubt you've much chance. Is your data recovery software finding anything?

If the file was stored as app data rather than in the /sdcard filesystem you've no chance. TBH I'd think this would be a strange thing to do, but just want to cover all possibilities.
