Lost Downloaded Contacts in MMI Directory

I downloaded my contacts from my Samsung Galaxy S3 into my Audi A4 MMI. A few days later I could see my contact list and was able to make a call using voice recognition.

Now my phone is still paired with my MMI, but I see no contacts when I go to directory. Did they somehow get erased or do I not know where to find them?
