Help Lost my SGP

So, I somehow just lost my Samsung Galaxy Player. Not exactly where I lost it, but I don't exactly expect to get it back. My biggest concern of course is that with WIFI it can access my email accounts, android market and Amazon market.

Can someone tell me what I should do? I do have Lookout installed on it.

If I just go and change my passwords to all my accounts will it affect the SGP? ie - once the password is changed will the SGP ask for the new one or will it still open the account?

Any help is appreciated. Never lost anything like this before, so I not sure what steps I should take.

Change all passwords to all your sensitive accounts ASAP. The accounts won't be able to be opened on the SGP, and your info will be safe. Anything you can do to interfere with someone viewing your data will help.

I feel bad for you loosing it. I would be heartbroken.

The only thing I can suggest is an encryption program like EncryptIt. (only use the version listed in the Google Market)

There may be others available, but this one is acceptable for this purpose. No one else can read your stuff. I'd advise only using it for the important stuff...to avoid the hassle of decryption stuff all the time.

Others may have better suggestions than me. I'm not an android expert. I come from the pc world.

I use an app called ZDBox which replaced 8 individual apps. ZDBox contains "app lock.' Any program added to app lock requires a password to open. I cant say enough how much I LOVE that one feature alone. Any time I replace an Android device, the first thing I install is ZDBox.

I have nosey nieces whose hands my devices tend to end up in. Using app lock I don't worry any more about what they will see/not see on my phone. Messages, photo gallery, email, google market, FB....you name it; I have it in app lock.
