The is an option that allows you in enter a phone number on the device that is stolen and locked (That is what I understood fram the small explanation. My question is how does one declare the device as missing ? Is there a web site I must register to be able to do so ? Is it something like AirDroid ?

I thank. u in advance for your reply. Hope to hear from you. This might be the beguining of a beautiful relationship.
Cheers !

All newer Androids have a remote security/location system built-in called Android Device Manager. However, you must enable it.

1. Open the app drawer and tap the gray gear icon called Google Settings.
2. Tap on Security all the way at the bottom.
3. Under Android Device Manager turn on Remotely locate this device and Allow remote lock and erase.
4. Open a browser in any phone or computer and go to: https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager
5. Login with the Google account that is on the phone you just enabled ADM.
6. In a few seconds you should be able to see the phone's location on the map.
7. You can remotely ring, lock with a password or completely wipe the phone.

Of course, the phone must be on for ADM or any similar app to work.

Airdroid is for other purposes. The Play store description is better than I can do:

Thanx a million guys !!

I shall explore google settings. Please excuse my newbie questions. For many years I have been using IOS platform so this is a brand new world for me.

I saw a video from a developer explaining google voice controls on android. He would go to google search and say "PLAY ie Red Hot Chilli Peppers" and it would. Or he would say "Send Tom a text : I will be there around 9 oclock) and it would send an SMS to the contact (Tom) with that text message all through voice commands without any typing at all. It had alot more commands I wont explain then all because you must know them well.

Anyway when I try i.e. "Send Tom text : I will be there around 9 oclock" It doesnt send an sms it just searches Google for "Send Tom text I will be there around 9 oclock" I cant understand why. I am sure other useres have experienced same issues.

Could you please send me a link (i used search button of this forum but didnt find a suitable answer or explanation) on this forum (or elsewhere) explaining what Im doing wrong or how to use this tool ?

Kind regards !

i lost my phone yesterday and after realising that someone has stolen it I changed my google accounts password and also locked the phone. Can the device still be tracked . I although had a location earlier and had informed the police regarding that.
